Pros

Warm, friendly, skilled professional nursing staff that works well together, at least on my unit. The vast majority of doctors are nice to work with, only a couple of stinkers. Free parking.

Cons

Pay is low, and benefit package is mediocre, but I guess they have a captive audience, since no one wants to drive any farther to work.

Pros

There are no pros for this place. even the benefits fail to achieve goals they promise. The medical insurance fails to pay for any treatment

Cons

Let's talk about Henry Mayo and how they treat their patients and employees. The nurses take pictures of the patients and their charts and text them to their friends (obvious HIPAA violations), They antagonize patients who are already afraid or anxious so they have an excuse to medicate them, as well as, delay pain medication to those who are in dire need (ie, cancer patients). They also will leave "assited bound patients" in bed when they need to go to the restroom, leaving them to urinate or defecate themselves. Then leave them in their own mess for an inappropriate amount of time. (these all go without say that these nurses are not busy but refuse to take time away from some life story they are sharing with another coworker or watch their films on their smart phones/tablets). They are extremely racist toward subordinates and coworkers, the low-esteemed fatter nurses talk trash about those that are more attractive than they are to the extent they submit fictitious complaints against them, the list goes on. (if you are a male, or white/hispanic/black you will be harassed by the Asian nurses) The unprofessionalism demonstrated by basic staff is already appalling, but the real good stuff is about HR. HR puts employees on suspension then writes up the employees for not coming to work....when they're suspended. They retaliate when you file a union grievance against them. They act like they have zero training in their job, by saying such ludicrous things like, "the nurses are afraid of you because of your size" as a legitimate concern referring to a large bodybuilder physique. They threaten to throw policy at you, and when you honestly request the policy to be shown, they get angrier and make personal verbal attacks. Before working here, contact your union and just hear what they have to say. This place is known for harassment, discrimination, and the subject line from numerous employment attorney offices.
