      Pros

      Opportunities for project management experience. Communication between on-site staff and departments is frequent. I believe that my impact and voice at the plant is felt. I have not met one person who I didn’t enjoy working with here.

      Cons

      IT and HR are not at our plant. The company may operate too lean. Professional development programs are not easily accessible. There is a help network, but it seems like you really have to go above and beyond for assistance sometimes. Process engineer is a vague term that doesn’t describe my job. It is more focused on facility projects. Not sure if I’ll ever get to focus on process improvement efforts. I often get assigned to projects that I have no knowledge about. Sink or swim.
