Pros

Company car and gas. Not worth it after 2-3 years of mediocre support and pay though. Insurance is good and comparable to industry average.

Cons

Hertz does not pay bonuses. They will not tell you how to calculate your bonuses. I'm owed bonus money from 2014 and I have no idea if we're going to get it. Spent years sucking up to State Farm agents and body shops to get their business now the new CEO doesn't want to deal with them if they don't want to pay a higher rate. Waste of time Hertz closing over 200 locations and looking to close some more before the end of 2015 in order to make the company look more financially stable, which it is not!

Pros

Large company, so if it's been a really good year, you might get some nice trickle down incentives. Benefits on par with the level of company.

Cons

Insultingly low pay for the industry, position, and work that's asked of you. Leaders and managers are driven into the ground and only make slightly more than the people they manage. When people leave, that position is never filled, just restructured as if it never existed, and the "next in line" employee now has two jobs with the same title and same pay. Executive leadership is unbelievably short sighted, staffing issues are only solved by hiring the cheapest applicants or temp employees which leads to high turnover, so as a leader you will spend 80% of your time training and rarely hit your stride as a team. Employees are given lofty goals without any tools to reach them.

Pros

Company Car, Free Gas/Insurance. That's it. Pay is salary, which would be great if you actually worked 40-50hrs a week but you don't, so instead of making $15/hr you're more like making $11.

Cons

LONG HOURS! 55-60+!!!! NO WORK LIFE BALANCE AT ALL! Everyone is overworked and understaffed and morale is low! Also seniority based scheduling, so if you're new be prepared to not go to bed until 3am. If you like getting cursed at by customers because there are never enough cars on a daily basis this is the place for you!
