Pros

The only pro I can think about is good health insurance

Cons

I would never recommend even to my worst enemy to work for this company. There is a reason no one at this company lasts very long. The pay is very low, and the commission structure is the worst. How can you sell upgrades or insurance to people when there are not even enough cars every single day to cover reservations? No surprise that this company was named one of the worst places to work for...

Pros

You get a company Vehicle, and you learn how to get things done on your own.

Cons

Under compensated, overly stressed, minimal opportunities to move up in the company without relocating, horrible turnover, extremely weak manager trainee program. Managers are said to be on salary, but are expected to be there at all times without being told in those words.

Pros

As a Branch Manager and higher you get a free car, gas and insurance for your personal use. You can switch the car everyday if you'd like. I do because why not. If you're a minimalist like me the pay is fine. My salary is 42k/year. Managers and above get paid biweekly as opposed to those beneath you who get paid weekly. The scheduling in pretty lax. More lax than any other job I've had. If you want to relocate you can apply to different positions since Hertz is nationwide.

Cons

LONG HOURS! As a branch manager you don't have control over who they hire for your store so you can end up with two lackluster employees (like I have) They want you to constantly grow your store and get more fleet on the road but they won't give you more cars to do so. My location is constantly sold out of cars. If you have children this is not the job for you. If you want your store to be run well you need to be prepared to work way past closing. You're not paid enough for the amount of work expected to do. Customers can be very annoying with their demands. They need back up cameras, lane assist sensors etc and sometimes the vehicles just don't have that. Every once in awhile a customer will get unruly. I've had to call the local police department a couple of times on a customer.
