Not unless you're desperate

Pros

They will pay you...for as long as your job exists.

Cons

This company does NOT care about you. We had multiple rounds of layoffs last year and I was let go during the second one. While layoffs happen when a company's revenue declines and are an unfortunate part of corporate life, the way they went about handling this one was just low. A few months before the layoff this slimy company slashed our severance to a mere 2 weeks of pay when it had previously been 2 weeks plus 1 per year of service. They did this by updating our employee agreement and burying in the fine print so that no one knew about it until they handed us our puny severance checks. 6 years with the company and they laid me and my entire team off with just 2 weeks of severance pay. What a slap in the face. Do NOT work here unless you're desperate, and if that is the case then start looking for a new job as soon as you get settled because this place does not care about you at all.

Pros

The company itself is successful, salaries/benifits are competitive, and the grinders (people doing the actual work are amazing, intelligent and caring). The CEOs since hexagon has taken over have been good in my opinion and have been slowly reinvesting money into the company. The current CEO Josh is a good guy that knows his numbers and is concise when speaking company goals, culture and plan of action.

Cons

Kerri and Amayea have single handedly destroyed what used to be one of the most prestigious jobs in the company. Techinical support has become a place to die and simply answer phones. The high turnover will continue with them in control and especially now the industry has turned around. This has directly affected the quality of support provided to clients and is wasting the companies money training new people that won't even be good for a few years. Behind closed doors they talk about their support team as whiney and ungrateful, when that is simplely not true. Not only do they put down their employees but they are close-minded and do not listen to any recommendations on how to improve processes. My way or the highway attitude. Both of them have zero techinical knowledge and it is clear when conversing with them. This makes for terrible direction when creating training material and managing service projects. Recently they hired a new support agent with no intention on renewing her work visa that is just cruel. They promote their friends within to justify higher salaries with the excuse of business acumen, yet they cannot clearly define any positions responsiblities. Recently their was a anonymous survey to gauge employee satisfaction, yet in a TS meeting they threatened that indeed they would know who filled out the survey. If you are a geologist/engineer that would like a position where you are treated without respect, pretty much only answer phones all day and do unnecessary data entry for management to use as far fetched metrics of preformance then this is the job for you.

Pros

Great place to kill your career for the truly destitute job searcher.

Cons

This company has gone a long way from the roots of Mintec and Jigsaw. Absolutely no vision, no SME experience to lead, direct or communicate business needs from clients to the development departments (what's left of them). They have killed 3 businesses they have bought within the last 3 years, fired nearly 25% of its staff, stopped supporting clients who have purchased their products and continue to try and sell vaporware.
