Pros

Don't even bother looking for pros here. Working here has been such a terrible experience! If you're thinking of working here, don't!

Cons

HeyGen might just be one of the worst companies you could ever work for! The company is run by incompetent leadership and toxic management. Every decision they make is short-sighted, and they both treat employees as nothing more tools to be used. The company lacks structure; communication is terrible, expectations are vague, roles aren't clearly defined, and accountability is often avoided. Employees' work-life balance is unsustainable; we're assigned brutal workloads, forced to work long hours, and expected to meet unreasonable; demands all the time. They pay is pretty awful, and there aren't any opportunities for employees to advance. Unless that sounds like a great experience to you, I would suggest staying away from HeyGen at all cost!

Pros

I see a lot of 1 star reviews, I think it's really not that bad if you know what you're getting into: -Lots of smart, hardworking people -AI product with good business model, steady revenue -Decent pay and benefits, bonuses on top for good performance

Cons

-Long hours, fast and chaotic iteration. Unsurprisingly for a startup the business needs to take a lot of shots to see what sticks, quality isn't always top of mind -Lack of transparency, a lot of employees don't have visibility into things like how compensation changes work, that there is a bonus structure etc -Business generally feels pretty top down, good for moving fast and being decisive, but can leave employees to feeling unheard

Pros

Starting pay is the same for everyone, but it barely matters when everyone is struggling.

Cons

Compensation is far too low for the amount of work and stress required. The workplace feels hostile and uncaring, with little support for employees. People are ignored, undervalued, and treated as replaceable rather than human beings.
