Pros
Great benefits package, with a generous paid time off policy. Company does well to celebrate holidays, and generally make the office environment festive.
Cons
The title "Video Production Specialist" is misleading, as I never worked with a single video file. Rather, I was hired to be a voice over artist for companies needing scripts and voice overs for these ads. I possess years of scriptwriting, advertising, and voice over experience. However, none of my supervisors had ANY experience in this (my direct supervisor had worked as a supervisor for a medical equipment factory!!!), and 95% of the employees in the department had come from either non-broadcasting backgrounds, or other jobs in Yellowbook where "they thought it would be cool". The results are worse than you can imagine. The real issue is: QUALITY. No one seems concerned about it. It's more like a factory, where quotas need to be hit, rather than creating ads that look and sound great. Department layoffs occurred earlier in the year, but they were not based on merit. Rather, some of the more qualified people were let go, while the people who consistently don't produce were kept on board. Others were transferred to other departments, whether or not you wanted to go there. I got out before being transferred to being a website writer.
