      Good money for hard work, Little local support or training

      Pros

      As a rep you are allowed a lot of flexibility and freedom. If you do a good job management pretty much leaves you alone. You can make great money if you are self disciplined and work hard.

      Cons

      Local management is unwilling to perform basic responsibilities and are always trying to blame the reps for failed markets. There is little to no training except by dedicated reps who try to help their collegues.

      Pros

      The pay is great. Flat expense allowance, bonuses are paid on time and in full. The CEO is a young, progressive guy who keeps up with technology and provides ALL employees with the tools they need. Truly cutting edge. Company is making a long-term, gradual transition to internet media marketing in preparation for the eradication of tangible directories in the next decade.

      Cons

      The travel is very difficult. You spend about 1/2 year in your "home" market and the other 1/2 in a "travel" market and you are expected to live in the travel market. So if you have any, ANY domestic responsibilities from a goldfish, to wife and kid(s), don't even try it. This job is for young, very flexible loners or empty-nesters who still need income.

      They had a great advertising campaign a few years ago, with the yellowbook everything, but we just make great Ybooks.

      Pros

      They allow you have a family and work life. You pretty much dictate your own schedule if you do your job.

      Cons

      Very corporate atmosphere, too many pushy housewife types that want to throw you under the bus for so called sexual harassment that they wish would exist. Not in a long time honey!
