      Started out great and turned into an epic fail

      Pros

      They turned a fun & profitable company into a miserable place to work. Yellowbook 3+ years ago was a great place to work but it turned in the other direction and declined rapidly. Work life balance was excellent. Team camaraderie was present in some areas. They had a fitness center that was clean and accessible. They didn't seem to fire people - even those who truly deserved it.

      Cons

      Management was terrible, there was zero career path and a total rumor mill. The turnover rate was mildly amusing - 100% revolving door. The morale in the entire company was depressing. So many empty promises.

      The company has wide verity of advertising solutions for business looking to target their probable purchasers when they are looking to buy. hibu provides transparent results for all advertisers and allows the sales force to use this data to help sell new clients and increase existing ones. The company continues to add new sales channels for the team to increase the earning potential. Bonuses are set up for those who can sell new. Fun Events: Ford Canoe Challenge, Fiesta Fun Run, Bowling Blitz, Caroling with Santa at the River Walk, Alamo Heights Holiday Parade, Halloween Customer Appreciation Day, Splashtown blitz, Christmas Party at Silo, Children’s Fiesta, Rampage Hockey night. Awards, Honors and Prizes: Presidents Club Trip, Market Bonus/Plaques, Gift Cards, UTSA Football Tickets, hibu gear and more.

      Cons

      Overnight travel....This should go away with year round markets.

      Pros

      Decent compensation. Good benefits. Some Flexibility in scheduling. A number of intelligent people in the company and comradeship among the frustrated sales people.

      Cons

      Scattered approach to products leading to wasting time on too many products. An emphasis on getting new accounts at the expense of taking care of growing existing clientele and growing the business organically. A lot of time wasted on numerous tracking of activity which seemed pointless.
