Pros

You are paid salary plus commission. Commission is on the original purchase price of the monthly contract, then a percentage of the residual book of business, car payment and mileage

Cons

If a client cancels before 12 months are up you get charge back the initial sale. How this works is you take the sale amount you received and then divide by 12, if they cancel 4 months before month 12 you get a chargeback of 4 months. Also sometimes people quit paying their bill and if HIBU has to cancel off the client, you get a charge back. Amount towards car payment is small and amount per mile is about .15 cents where as the national average for miles driven with the IRS for 2023 was around .60 per mile. There's a ton of meetings which makes managing accounts (you are paid residuals so keeping clients is important) plus you have to always have new business coming in. They also do a lot of team incentives but the teams are spread out location wise. Most people are not excited about a team overnight in the middle of the work week and would be a lot more excited for an extra 100.00 to spend however. They only promote people who have a huge amount of sales rather than looking back on a year and seeing there were months where someone has had a lot of sales but also showed amazing leadership skills. Just because someone is the top 5 of a report doesn't mean they will be a good leader where as someone level 5-10 on a report of 65 people might be a better fit to lead.

Pros

Great people with a competitive and positive culture

Cons

Training is great, however it takes most sales people up to a year to perfect the process. Sales training and support are continuous throughout the process.
