Poor leadership and nepotism overshadow the good people

Pros

There are good people who genuinely care about their work, and the hybrid schedule offers flexibility.

Cons

Compensation is below market, career advancement is limited, and workloads can be inconsistent. The company’s “family to employees” value feels literal. It’s run like a family business with the CEO hiring relatives and family friends for roles they aren’t qualified for. I appreciated my team, but when concerns were raised, leadership was dismissive and responded with, “Welcome to Higginbotham.” The organization’s rapid growth has also weakened its sense of community.

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

After only 3 days at Higginbotham (I was still in he training phase), I received a call in the evening informing me not to return to work. I was given NO explanation as to why. My manager was clueless as to what her responsibilities were in regards to training. During my very short time there (I was told by several employees that the Kennesaw site location experiences high turnover.

Pros

Fair compensation. Typically flexible when balancing work and personal schedules. They pay for licensing and CE fees. Very active in community giving.

Cons

Medical benefits are awful and EXPENSIVE. Very small contribution to HSA account. No annual review. Preferential treatment to certain employees in local offices.
