We acknowledge your feedback about Hitachi Vantara and regret that your experience did not reflect the relationship we strive to build with each and every one of our employees. Your work with our company coincided with a period of profound change as we began to reorient Hitachi Vantara to meet the opportunities of the future. Transformation is demanding work, and some aspects are naturally discouraging at points in the process. Nonetheless, we’re proud of the significant progress we’ve made aligning our workforce, products and services, and communications behind our IoT and social innovation vision. We invite you and others to read this recent press release (http://bit.ly/2hjbIV0) which provides an informative overview of Hitachi Vantara’s very promising market position and plans. In recognizing the demands of our transformation, we are also bringing in new leadership across functions to foster diversity and innovation. In the midst of transformation communication can be difficult, but it also creates new opportunities throughout the company as we invest in growth areas like IoT, Cloud, software, services, flash and analytics. Collaborative communication to peers, management, and executives is a focus here at Hitachi Vantara. In fact, hearing opinions and feedback from our employees is key to our innovation and success. Though, there is always room for improvement in the ways we communicate and foster collaboration. We recently completed our company-wide Hitachi Insights Survey and will be looking closely at the feedback. We are working hard to improve our processes so thank you for your honest feedback. In recognition of our employees, compensation is structured as much more than just your salary here at Hitachi Vantara. We strive to provide value to our employees in many ways such as market competitive pay, sharing in our success, offering diverse benefits for our global workforce, and creating a supportive work culture. With this variety of benefits, I can understand pay is among the most important. We offer base salaries that are above median market levels, a comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity for every employee to share in our success through our bonus programs. Hitachi Vantara also benchmarks salary levels every year (and more frequently in high inflation countries) against the high-tech market in each location in which we operate. Managers are empowered and encouraged to ensure all of their employees are paid fairly and competitively. Thank you for working with us and best wishes for a prosperous future.

Pros

Okay pay and benefits. Some smart and nice people to work with.

Cons

Company struggling financially and therefore shutting down most offices nationally, under the guise of "going virtual". Just announced that Houston office is closing.

Thanks for your feedback. We have no intention of misleading our employees. The decision to move forward with virtualization of some offices was made due to office spaces being underutilized. As our business has changed so too has the role of the physical office. We see that many offices aren’t being used due to being inconvenient to access or people prefer to work at home. Outside of our main offices, many are only used once or twice per month. As people have stopped coming into the office, we want to rethink our model so that we focus on building the ‘community’ of the Geo rather than investing in an unused space. We believe we've put the right strategy and building blocks in place to deliver the most relevant and effective products for our industry. We are working hard to navigate and perfect strategies to best execute company transformation. Do we have more work to do? Absolutely. But, we're encouraged by the progress we've made. Thanks for your feedback- we will use it to improve our work environment.
