Pros
There is GE culture overlays on Hitachi. if you are from GE, you would get visibility, travel, appreciation, salary hikes and bragging rights in the company. If you are an old timer and were associated with older management, you will be looked through suspicions. Stay far away from this company. There is no trust. GE culture = micro managers = finger pointing = CYA
Cons
I am unsure how Hitachi Japan has closed their eyes completely. Do they not see that every VP, SVP and Sr director and director hired recently had GE on their resume. None of these jobs were ever published even internally. They all got quietly hired by CPO and his lieutenants. In one of the engineering interviews, the VP (hired from GE) told the interviewer to make sure to hire the engineer from GE and NOT scare the candidates with tough questions :) What does it say about the company?
