Pros

-The store is closed on Sundays so you can generally plan on not coming in that day although sometimes there are shifts available on Sundays for inventory and special projects -The pay when I worked there was about 50 cents above minimum wage

Cons

-Management kept me at 33 hours per week to avoid promoting me to full time which would have nearly doubled my pay and offered me health care -Management in general is incompetent, egotistical, and lazy -You are discouraged from taking your full (legally required) break time -Tiny infractions can lead to write ups or termination

Pros

Decent Hours. Always closed on Sundays

Cons

Not consistent schedule. Had to manually enter all prices and sales (required memorizing sales each week). Too many errors that way

Pros

-Competitive pay -Amazing and positive coworkers -Employee Discounts -Works well with schedule (If you're a student.) -Guaranteed Sundays off

Cons

-Management is quick to point out mistakes, slow to praise successes. -Understaffed, which means you will often not get days off, even if you request them. -Says bathroom duty is random, but stock usually gets it at least 3 days a week, which is statistically near-impossible in a pool of 10 closing employees. This is good for other departments I guess. -Bathrooms are always a disaster by the way. Nobody cleans them correctly. -Unrealistic Demands. -Management will not listen to employees and treats them like they're idiots. -Prepare for a stress-filled and crazy day whenever the District Manager comes in. -Said they will not work with other part-time jobs. -Scheduled me for a 3-hour shift over an interview for a part time job that did not affect my hours at Hobby Lobby. My hours were dramatically cut that week as well. Overall, it is a decent experience if you're a student and limit your time here. Any more hours than that and it begins to drive you crazy. For some reason, once I graduated, management just stopped treating me like a person all of a sudden, gave me bathroom duty all the time, and never gave me the days off I requested well in advance. It just seems like I'm putting so much work into this company only to get absolutely nothing in return.
