Pros

Very stable work, no worries about layoffs. Data Center market is a challenging and exciting learning opportunity that poses many new challenges with the robust quality program requirements that most contractors are not accustom to. A very clean, organized, work space, that is very well planned especially with Covid protocols for social distancing. There are many continuous improvement initiatives and training opportunities available at any given time. Holder understands the challenges of the traveling worker, they are very fair and understanding of PTO and work with those who have families. Pay is above average, benefits are available and are affordable, bonus potential is a nice kicker. There are none better than Holder when it comes to people interaction in particular the corporate staff, my family faced some very tough challenges for many months, and I was able to be open and honest without feeling uncomfortable, and was given information about benefits that Holder provides for families that are faced with seemingly no where to turn. Holder is very active in the communities they serve, and support veterans.

Cons

In my opinion there are no Cons, there are many opportunities for improvement throughout the field offices in relation to development and execution of an effective Quality Plan. A huge opportunity is available for the taking, to incorporate the field activities performed daily along with some in-process installation monitoring surveillance procedures, and accountability tools available in the program to utilize when there are adverse trends or a history of repeated quality issues that subcontractors are ineffectively addressing. There are a lot of non-value added activities that could be improved upon in regards to the daily inspection activities. The experience of the Seniors is absolutely necessary in this environment with the vast amount of equipment and complexity involved in the successful execution of providing our clients with a quality product. It is very challenging to train the younger associates with hands-on practice application of the daily quality functions. The passing down of knowledge to the younger associates is vital to mainting and execution of a Quality Program. I think Holder recognizes the seasoned associates can be a huge asset in the development and execution of a Quality Program that leads the industry and provides the utmost level of confidence for our clients that we are leading the way. Inclusion of Senior Associates in the Quality Program Development process is non-existent from my experience thus far, I hope there are opportunities to be part of this challenge.

Holder is made up of hardworking, dedicated associates with a “do what it takes” attitude to make our projects successful.
