Pros

Working overnight gives you all the freedom in the world if you are also a full time student. I was able to balance both with minimal problems.

Cons

Upper management can be forgetful. Also, they tend to keep staff at bare bones so that it's harder to ask for time off without someone having to work a double shift at times.

Pros

Working overnight gives you all the freedom in the world if you are also a part time student like myself. I was able to balance both with no problems. The people I work with are also some of the best in terms of helping a guest with any issue until they are more than satisfied.

Cons

Upper management can sometimes be forgetful and that leads to us having no information for a guest when it's needed most. Also, they tend to keep staff at bare bones so that it's harder to ask for time off without someone having to work a double shift at times.

Pros

Hearing travelers stories, working alone and unsupervised. Down time to do whatever I wanted. If you want a mostly easy job and can ignore the boss and rude customers but like to be able to do schoolwork or read at work then go for it.

Cons

Boss is STINGY. Drives a $70,000 car but can't afford to give a 60 year old woman who has been loyal to him for 10 years when everyone else has left him high and dry a raise in the entire 10 years. She is still making $8.00 an hour. He would rather watch an employee struggle ALONE and have a breakdown on the verge of tears while trying to check in 3 groups of 50 children with a youth group, 50+ couples for valentines day, and numerous travelers pulling over because it was a BLIZZARD on Valentines Day. I was working completely by myself trying to handle all of these people while the phone was running off the hook, ALL HE DID WAS ANSWER THE PHONE 4 TIMES. And each time told them to hold and gave me the phone. He is uncapable of even operating our phone system, can't put in a reservation, has no respect for his employees and only promotes people who are of the same race as him. They are constantly hiring because the turnover rate is RIDICULOUS. They had 6 front desk managers in a year in a half. ALSO- can't forget, has multiple complains against him from the better business bureau because he does NOT like to pay people. He's been in lawsuits.
