Absentee managers, understaffed and considerably more workload than expected. They overstaff shifts by bringing everyone in when it's not needed and don't find support staff for larger events. Servers are expected to do all of the set up and tear down of tables, chairs, linens and a/v equipment which should be a job that carries a much higher pay rate but doesn't. Additionally, servers are not allowed to see the event totals to verify correct gratuity is being paid out.
