Pros
It's a full time job with benefits though not great benefits. The most stressful part of work is not rolling your eyes at the stupid people. And there are hundreds of them. Advice: invest in high quality noise reducing headphones and use them the entire time you're at work, especially during meetings.
Cons
There is a tendency to overreact to everything resulting in a lot of wasted time, energy, and money. There is no desire to innovate, they're married and super glued to "the way it's always been done" and I'd even go so far as to say the idea of change frightens and galls management. Progress and innovation are words thrown around but never embraced. There's no incentive to excel as you will be promoted on a "time served" basis. Also, there are staggering numbers of unqualified people hired. As in, they majored in communication or English and work in positions that should require an academic background in science...this is supposed to be a biotech company.
