Pros
- The mission: fighting cancer and women's health
- The corporate koolaid is strong, but leaves one refreshed and has a great after-taste (buy-in on the company direction, mission, etc. is legitimate and easily noticeable across the organization)
- Multi-discipline development team with talented engineers across functions
- Desire to develop software "the right way", just requires some effort (e.g., management very supportive of process change where and when sensible, though a strong technical leader is required to define and execute the change)
Cons
These are minor complaints that are easily forgotten about due to the pros.
- Un-glamorous industrial facility
- Often contention on lab space/resources
