      No cohesive technical business unit strategy. Immature in many areas... no robust PMO, no quality assurance or test automation, no business continuity team, demand management not aligned with business goals... etc.

      Independence in the field and the ability to make your schedule and mange your clients. Hands off management fosters positive outcomes for self driven people Overtime is compensated, of which there is a LOT of in many areas Easy to specialize in one set of products and build on that knowledge Most weekends are completely available

      Cons

      Overtime is absolutely required to keep your head above water Days can turn long and there is no way to plan anything during the week Documentation is poor. Rely on your gut and learn from experiance. New SW/HW upgrades never go well and are hardly in stock. (Don't be the guinea pig)
