Pros

you get paid weekly. If you work as cashier you get good hours and the job is somewhat easy going.

Cons

poor benefits, constantly changing schedule. hours can fluctuate dramatically with little to no communication. Processing is a mess and is understaffed. with processing they have a goal of getting the most work done as possible with the fewest employee's while giving the least amount of hours.....which is a great business strategy.....but terrible for employees. you wont like working somewhere where you have to give 110% for 4hr's and little compensation. some people would literally get up to go to work for 3 hours. depending on who's managing it may or may not be worth it. there is no job security, while I was working there for almost 2 years almost the whole entire staff had been replaced atleast 7-8 times.

Pros

Working at Homegoods (especially my location) was...an experience. What I liked about working at Homegoods was getting a good amount of hours and not really having to do much. Since there is always a decent amount of employees working at any given time you really don't have to run around that much except when on as a cashier but even then it's not bad. You do get a 10% discount on merchandise but that's not much (compared to competitors who offer 20-30% employee discount) unless you are buying a very expensive item.

Cons

Cons of working for Homegoods is that you do not get a high hourly wage salary. I started at $7.25/hour and would get maybe a .30 cent raise once a year depending on the review given by management. The products that Homegoods sells to its customers are also not the greatest and be prepared to hot glue anything that gets broken so it can be resold...

Pros

My employers and co-workers were truly a pleasure to work with; I learned so much from them because of the team oriented culture (this culture does depend on the manager's style of leadership). Management was very flexible with my work/school schedule.

Cons

Although I respect the full time co-workers, it's still difficult to earn minimum wage and support a family. There are opportunities for growth but it's very slow.
