Pros

The best reason to work there would be because you don't have another job.

Cons

The management team have favorite employee's and they are very unprofessional. The manager don't dress in proper attire or behave like professionals. This company does not do drug screenings or background checks so any criminal or drug attic can easily work there. They don't recognize the employee's for doing a good job. And the hours suck big time! you would be lucky to get 12 hours a week. Next time you're in the store ask an employee how they like the company. They throw away good merchandise that can easily be sold at a lower price or donated, they don't recycle and that's the biggest thing that bothers me about this company. They sell green products but they do nothing to help the planet, adding loads and loads of trash. If you work 4 hours a day they will try to get 8 hours of work out of you. I would not recommend this company.

Pros

I met a lot of great people working at HomeGoods. Working hourly also allowed me to take time off for classes and other events.

Cons

While I liked most of the managers, the senior manager at my store seemed out of touch with the rest of the employees. I wish there was more evaluation of senior management, as I felt blame for certain hiccups was sometimes misplaced.

Pros

Its easy to understand and the basic things that you have to train to do your job correctly, and when you do good you might get a star card....not all the time.

Cons

the management team is lazy, no one really follows the rules. every assistant manager has their own set of rules. the store manager doesnt know what hes doing. and every time a policy changes no one tells us personally so if we don't do it right we get in trouble for it
