Pros

Salary Plus Commission. Great Benefits. Incredible work to life balance, especially for a sales and marketing position. Two weeks of paid vacation after only 3 months. Great Management. Great company culture. I really do like working here. If you can sell it's a good life. We have one Rep 3 years out of college making over 100k a year working less than 40 hours a week. We never work more than 40 hours a week.

Cons

If your not self motivated and willing to work hard then this isn't the place for you.

Pros

Not much pros if any at all. Maybe pros are that you do get benefits.

Cons

Hiring practices are deceptive. You are told things during the hiring process that are not true, basically they sell you. I was interviewed by the "training manager" and she made it sound like I will get so much money. Then when you start the training manager only paid attention to people she liked. After that I moved to a another manager and worked late hours where there was no activity. Unable to get a hold of anyone after 3:30. The managers were not very helpful. There were two managers out of the four that managed the more advanced people and they didn't give anyone the time of day. Overall a bad experience and deceptive hiring practices and sales practices. It is a grind.

Thank you for the feedback. We, too, realized that the later shift was tough for folks so we have done away with it. As far as management attention to account executives, we also realize that its a challenge for our managers to give each of our account executives as much time as he or she would like. Since your time with us, we have added an additional manager to the team further expanding our capacity and the time each manager can spend coaching his/her teams. Earnings for our sales teams are uncapped so our goal is to invest in each of our account executives so that they can maximize their own earnings while helping real estate professionals get the tools they need to grow their own businesses. Pros

If you don't do anything or care about your job you can fly under the radar and someone else will take the heat for your lack of productivity. People do it there for years. You can get away with literally doing nothing as your job.

Cons

No motivation or ownership amongst the teams. It's all very political with everyone pointing fingers and throwing each other the bus or making allies. No one cares about actually getting things done. The company is clearly tanking and the tension is unbearable.

Homes.com has an Open Door policy, where we strongly encourage employees to share concerns and opportunities for improvement with company management. This Open Door policy is very important to me personally, and I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to learn more about the specific issues that you've identified. I do have to say the claim that "no one cares about actually getting things done" does not ring true with what I see from the great majority of our employees on a daily basis. I see employees who care deeply our business, who are passionate about serving our users and customers, and work very hard every day to improve our technology, processes and products. I know that we have had a number of employees working nights and weekends over the past several months to help with technology upgrades and a large-scale database migration, for example. I appreciate their dedication and commitment to getting this work done. But I also know that there is always room for improvement. And I encourage employees to please help us do that in a transparent and collaborative way. -David Mele, President, Homes.com
