Pros

Lots of very smart people work there.

Cons

Single-threaded ownership is the buzzword of the day, and in practice its primary impact is to accelerate existing management pathologies

Pros

Snacks and work from home policy

Cons

The worst challenge was to feel diminished from the rest of the company. You get hired with some benefits and then those benefits are vanished. You get brainwashed trying to accept that the company is making an effort thru the pandemic but then you find out that only some positions or locations got their benefits cut and is not a collective effort. Terrible communication both internal and external. Heartless layoffs which left only fear among employees, people were promoted on a Friday and by Monday they were let go.

Work ethic, effort, seniority and knowledge can't save you from lay offs.

Pros

- Unlimited PTO. - 100% work from home. - Great example of how a company should NOT be run.

Cons

Nothing we haven't read before. - Lay offs every quarter, regardless of what you have offered to the company, the time you were employed and your knowledge. They 'd rather keep cheaper employees that have no idea what they're doing. - Reactive management. No sense of direction. You can spend a whole week working on a project that is supposedly super important and next week it's like it never existed and there's a new project needed YESTERDAY. - Stressful environment, mainly due to the factors above. You never know if you're next on the chopping block. - STO model does not work if you're keeping management or employees that do not have the skills, whether soft or technical, and they're just there to get an easy paycheck and run their team to the ground.
