      Pros

      Good package - (salary, benefits, etc) Good early opportunities - if you are willing to work for it Strong company that will be around

      Cons

      The ceiling comes relatively early - unless you are willing to sacrifice certain beliefs (I won't throw others under the bus to further my career) Work/Life balance is difficult if you want to continue to be given opportunities - you're judged on the hours vs. the quality of content. When I am talking hours, 50 is considered OK, but 60 is preferred...

      Pros

      Great people, great products, great responsibility. Hormel provides opportunities to people who want to work to be successful. Then, you are rewarded for the success you achieve. Upper management are easy to talk with and approachable. They are also great leaders in a very difficult industry.

      Cons

      Working conditions can be challenging where you are dealing with the temperature of a food processing plant. However, anything easy in life typically does not provide the rewards, career growth, and opportunities that Hormel does for its employees.

      Nice starting salary All sales and analysts positions come with a company car Nice team, many SALES people have been working there for years

      Cons

      Unequal treatment of analysts No opportunity for growth within the company, just laid off people, not much movement within the company Dont really have a handle on what to do with analyts after the associate level, no promotions to senior analysts
