Pros

- Great office culture - Lots of opportunities to grow - Lots of great mentors - Ability to work on cool projects. -Company is growing fast - Flexible - Time over 40 hrs each week can be banked as PTO and taken off later - Office is in a great location, walking trails, snake river, near I-15 -Flexible. Supports work from home, hybrid, or in person without judgement either way.

Cons

- Healthcare plan is subpar - Horrocks recently got bought out by a large platform company and is no longer in control of all of its company decisions. - Hard to get company stock (only awarded to the top 10% of employees from what I’ve heard) - Training for younger employees is not streamlined and poor. Lots of stress trying to learn the ropes. Figure it out as you go attitude. -End of year bonus amounts are way lower than average.

Pros

Supportive environment with people really care about each other. There's a place for everyone here; those who want to hustle and advance their career as well as those who want to work their 40-hour week and leave work responsibilities at work at the day's end. Horrocks' comp time policy is an absolute gamechanger! In short, salaried employees are required to work 40 hours each week. Any overtime hours worked are accrued and can be taken as time off or paid out to the employee. There aren't many other engineering companies that offer this incentive.

Cons

Nothing major comes to mind. Career progression and advancement within the company has been a challenge in the past. The company is going to great lengths to define career paths and offer opportunities to those who go after them. The maximum out-of-pocket costs with the benefits cost a lot more than they used to also.
