Pros

All the benefits of a start up company, lots of passionate people who are working toward a goal of massive Hadoop adoption. Great access to senior leadership, the President of the company is generous with his time, as are all managers.

Cons

Not too many, being remote is hard, would be great to have some more regional offices so that employees could build culture together. The headquarters are ok but a little disheveled, although nice perks with lunch offered etc. Some internal politics to navigate, but which company doesn't have that.

Pros

-- Good stock -- Free food, snacks like any modern startup

Cons

-- Lot of politics -- Non technical managers rule some teams. -- Very boring work culture. All work no play. -- High job insecurity. Forced to work long hours for very little recognition or reward. -- Not suitable for employees with kids.
