Pros

HSS has amazing benefits. The number of weeks of vacation that you're given depending on position is probably one of the highest that I've ever heard of. Another benefit is that you are praised for a job well done and management is good about communicating anything major going on with the hospital.

Cons

The lack of career opportunities is probably the only disadvantage that I see. Most people stay with the hospital for years and years, and this means that you can't really advance. Once in a while you will see a job posted but that's about it. There is no career ladder or any pre-determined way to advance in the hospital.

Pros

Strong financially. Great leadership. Strong culture of caring for patients. A world-class hospital.

Cons

Nothing major. Space for employees and things seems to be a constant challenge.
