Pros

Their portfolio of hotels is a good size neither too big or too small. Different brands under different umbrellas (branded and unbranded). Many opportunities to transfer to different hotels across the U.S. The excellence culture does seem to work and does become part of your lifestyle in your day to day operations. They care what their hotels look like, and their guest satisfaction.

Cons

Cut pay for managers when COVID hit and expected them to work more hours on top of what they already did. Vacation was cut. Many companies let you burn PTO, but not HVMG. Not only was pay suspended, but you couldn’t accumulate any more as this was paused too. When they reinstated PTO, They changed the policy. They created a gap to which if you had over a certain amount of hours you could still not accumulate any more until you burned what you had. Had so many hours built up due to unable to take PTO due to various reasons (out of my control).
