Pros

good hotel brands and for the most part decent properties, friendly coworkers who have for the most part been around awhile. There are career growth possibilities if you are part of the right group. Benefits are OK, but at least they do exist.

Cons

micro managed by operation "coaches", no raises or salary reviews for years now, very much a "teachers pet" type of company. The growth I have seen here over the last couple of years has had a negative effect on the overall company, despite efforts to say otherwise.

Pros

Only positives were direct supervisors.

Cons

Corporate sets bonus structure then when bonuses should be given out days they’ve changed the structure so that no one qualifies or they get 1/10th of what they should have.

Pros

Hands-off management style Loved my accountant and sales support

Cons

I had absolutely no operational support from day one. The management company has no backbone with owners - my hotel had 125k+ in AP consistently and the management company never spoke up to the owners to find the account. I had several personal expense checks BOUNCE. The company was so afraid of losing contracts that they cowered to every owner's whim. In the end, I was screwed out of a thousand dollars on my last check with not so much as a warning from upper management.

Admittedly, we are surprised that you said you have no operational support. We've had lots of conversations and you never mentioned it. Nevertheless, we are so sorry we didn't live up to your expectations. Even though we strive to give the support you need, sometimes that's not enough. We are very proud of our culture and values and we will work even harder to make sure they are at work for everybody. Regarding your last check, we would never take an associates hard earned money. As you know, we were not holding back a week's pay when you were hired. This was explained to you then and again when we made the switch to the new payroll company.Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Best wishes in your new role.
