I enjoy a set schedule. Working with Houston Independent School District allows me to utilize customer service when interacting with parents.

Cons

Due to the size of the district activities are usually a long drive from home. Working as a substitute teacher limits co-workers.

At the school district there are many reliable and helpful employees, in my experience, they tend to be the people working as secretaries and assistants.

Cons

Administration, administration, administration is confused and needs serious external help before they implode. Administration at my campus had little to no support for teachers and students and almost operate as if they aren't dealing with live humans.
