      Great training for a new teacher

      Received rigorous training as a new teacher from alternative certification program. Many programs in place to help new teachers grow in the field.

      Cons

      Tough to teach inner city student population; required lots of communication with parents and constant motivation of students to stay on task and reinforcement of positive behavior
