      It was a great and wonderful experience, until HISD started to cut back on staff.

      Pros

      Able to communicate and bond with students. Able to assist the student's parents with school issues and making sure the parents have someone to count on. Cultural diversity among most of the HISD schools. Able to communicate and share ideas and thoughts in relation to school with teachers and staff. Make new friends. Able to help the community. Able to see all the happy faces at the end of every school year.

      Pros

      they have a lot of job openings and they give you opportunities;;it is better than the suburbs who just don't call you up unless you have connections.

      Cons

      no support for teachers; teachers feel stressed and are under a lot of pressure to discipline their students without any support from the administration.
