Pros

Budget and training unlimited with city sales tax and federal grants. Nice people and free bus and train.

Cons

Politics and lack of advancement for minorities and who you know versus what you know. Technical expertise is not rewarded but feared by insecure management.

Pros

Relaxed environment, good co workers they will help if needed.

Cons

Have to take ASE testing to move up. Even if pass the test required you have to wait two years to get paid. Insurance is horrible.

Pros

Excellent training and opportunities to learn skills with good technology including hardware and software, which helped advance my career so work hard and take advantage of the opportunities.

Cons

Too many managers and directors versus technical staff, but new CEO is a vast improvement over past ones. No pension anymore, but 401k company match is good.
