Pros

The front line team are amazing people

Cons

- working Saturdays and having to sort out your own cover if you need one off -don't take mental health seriously have seen several of the team being marginalised and being managed out of the busy as they refuse to accept the stresses of the job and are made to feel 'weak' for it (actual word I've heard used) - lots of expected unpaid overtime with a number of working days starting at 8 and finishing at 6:30+ -salary scale is very limited and no structure in place to understand expectation, also no bonus option at all. -management are not interested in put people first it is something that the excs say but not filtered down in anyway so comes across hollow - benefits package is bare at best with minimal holiday allowance no flexibility and in most cases only statutory levels of cover, introduced a 'health plan' which turns out it is a basic supplement package and only covers basic needs e.g eye tests. -lots of opportunity to move into different roles but only if you are 'chummy' with gate keepers in the business rather than based on merit and ability as I know of several individuals overlooked for jobs as certain members of upper management don't like them. -overall it is a business stuck in the previous century with a snails pace approach to change and only interested in making money and pretending that they are interested in the culture and the staff that work there.

Thank you for leaving feedback. We have done a lot of work with our branch network to ensure that peoples wellness and health are at the top of our priority list- When we say we are a people first organisation, we make sure it’s true. Our employee engagement survey results reflect this. Our benefits and our holiday package exceed our competitors offering and our family friendly policies are in the top 90th percentile. If your experiences were different then I would appreciate it if you could contact me on paul.sissons@aplan.co.uk

Thank you for leaving a review. As a rapidly growing organisation the opportunities for our branch network are increasing each month. A-Plan is progressive in its way of working and supports the entrepreneur to explore new ways of working. If you haven't been able to talk to your team about the ideas you have, I would be happy to hear them. Please send me a message - paul.sissons@aplan.co.uk
