      Good place to work unless….

      - Good opportunities to work on different insurance classes - Pretty laid back

      Cons

      - Pay is abysmal and management are of the opinion that staff shouldn’t discuss salaries because it shows this - Management don’t care about losing staff, and would actually opt to force people out of jobs if they don’t fit the Howden mould - Howden deem other insurance companies / brokers as “nobody companies” and let their overinflated egos get in the way of staff leaving for other opportunities - Lots of middle managers who can’t manage their teams and allow bullies to treat other colleagues badly

      Its okay, its got what you need very personable managers and supportive

      Cons

      No autonimy, hard to implement ideas sometimes, always a shortage of staff with the amount of clients to manage which means you cant really get involved in other aspects of the wider business

      My issue with the company is they will only reward you when prompted and not use the initiative to compare your output in comparison to similar team members in the role. They’re focused more on how long someone’s been in the company rather than what the person brings to the company.
