Pros

I've been at HubSpot for a little over two years and am now in my third role - two in the same department, one (and currently) in a completely different one. While people usually talk about career growth and opportunities in terms of climbing the ladder, HubSpot (and of course, the people) have helped me find opportunities and roles that fit me better so that I truly want to grow IN this company and the company itself. In a nutshell, a major pro of HubSpot is that they help you develop your career.

Cons

I know the company is working on it, but diversity is still a weakness of HubSpot.

Thanks for the thoughtful review, and completely agree with you that one of the best perks here is internal growth opportunities, so thanks for sharing your experience there. I also agree diversity is something we need to continue to work on--if you have thoughts or input on what we can do better, I welcome it--in the meantime know that our leadership team is working really had to turn the tides on this issue. I appreciate your review and all you do for HubSpot, thank you! -Katie

Pros

Located in Cambridge, where there is a good Tech scene. Hubspot does some work in Big data that is of interest to a lot of people trying to get into Tech

Cons

There is just so much bureaucracy and politics within the company that it creates a lot of confusion and uncertainty. You can never be sure what your career path will be at Hubspot as most decisions are made behind close doors and poorly communicated. Also,I am actively looking for other Tech jobs in the Cambridge area and am noticing that brand value for working at Hubspot id falling fast. ADVICE for new hires: Get everything in writing and don't accept any verbal promises

Thanks for the feedback, and sorry to hear that your experience fell short of your expectations and frankly of what we expect for ourselves and for our employees. While I don't agree that the brand value of working at HubSpot is falling, I do want to actively make sure that there isn't a gap between what folks think they will be doing and experiencing every day and what working here is actually like, so would love to hear from you more specifics on where we can improve there if you're up for a conversation on this one--we are constantly looking for ways to improve every part of the candidate and employee experience, so anytime you're up for a conversation, I'd welcome it.
