Pros

Remote Work, Very Knowledgeable Peers, Opportunity to work on cutting edge AI systems

Cons

The expectations here have gone through the roof, but the pay hasn't followed. A 3% raise is a joke, especially now that they've cut stock refreshers and our old equity has crashed by over 50%. You're essentially doing twice the work for way less money. The vibe is also pretty bad right now. There’s a heavy "PIP culture" and leadership is constantly quitting. We’re going through endless re-orgs that don't seem to have any actual point. Honestly, it’s not worth the stress anymore. Keep your resume updated and look elsewhere.

Pros

The IC teams are wonderfully talented and dedicated. The individual teams are stellar. Great benefits and competitive pay.

Cons

- The leadership team absolutely plays favorites. - The culture of the leadership team is an "out for themselves culture" and will throw any ICs under the bus, when ultimately the problems stem from their poor leadership abilities. They will absolutely throw you under the bus and make you out to be the bad guy. Leadership is out their to protect their position of power, not to do what's right for the team or what's right for the customer. They enjoy that HubSpot money too much, I suppose. For example, they will send you one direction, knowing that direction is the wrong one (you don't have any say, don't worry), and then when they find out it's the wrong direction after spending months telling them its the wrong direction, without hesitation, they will blame you and your team. - Leadership says they want your opinion, but really they want you to follow in line. They only say the want your opinion as lip service. - The only way to succeed to be to talk EXACTLY like them, think exactly like them, laugh exactly like them, and be their little minion. Once you've become accepted, you're rewarded and praised--- until you disagree or have a difference of opinion. - My advice: Get in, get paid, put it on your resume and get out. Other than that, it's not worth it. The entire leadership in Product, Design, and Engineering are entirely clueless and they blame those under them. It's a truly toxic environment. - Performance Reviews are also a massive joke. Don't work too hard, you'll still get a 3. You'll get a 4 only if you've been accepted as part of their circle. There is a lot of bias in performance reviews and it's very detrimental and demoralizing to ICs.
