Pros

-Startup vibes -Remote work -Great Product -CEO is innovative and very involved

Cons

-Given a book of cold accounts with domains that don't load or don't have working LinkedIn. -Leadership is inconsistent, it's just a "flavor of the week" type strategy for prospecting, selling, different teams have different motions. -There is no set formula or prescribed way of selling (see above). -No career development trainings such as role plays/discovery activities (it's mostly product training).

Duplicitous leadership and culture

Business Outlook

Pros

Talented Colleagues: You will have the opportunity to work with very nice and smart people. Work Flexibility: The company offers the flexibility of working remotely. Strong Culture on paper: HubSpot is known for its positive culture values

Cons

Shadow Layoffs & Instability: The company has begun conducting "shadow layoffs" without public announcement or internal transparency, creating a culture of uncertainty. Corporate Gaslighting: There is significant corporate gaslighting regarding the culture; leadership promotes a progressive image while making impulsive, aggressive decisions that negatively impact employees. Compensational Regressions: Management is actively reducing salary bands and replacing long-term talent with new hires at lower pay scales to match aggressive market competitors. Leadership Issues: VPs and other senior leaders often make impulsive decisions with a distinct lack of clarity and direction for the teams they manage.

All hype and no value

Pros

-Recognisable brand name that looks good on your CV -Well-designed office spaces -Free lunches and snacks provided

Cons

-Employee culture is surface-level and driven by optics rather than genuine care -Cutthroat and political environment where collaboration is not encouraged -Prioritises performative innovation and image over real substance or product maturity -Poor leadership culture — some uncomfortable behaviours from senior figures went unaddressed -Unusual workplace norms that compromise professionalism (e.g., lack of boundaries around pet policy)

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We’re so glad to hear you enjoy your experience in the office in Cambridge. We take our culture very seriously here, which is why we’ve spent the last number of months reflecting and evolving our culture as a leadership team. We hope you feel energized about the culture evolution and our new Culture Commitments announced in Monday’s all-company meeting. It is very much our intention to continue creating a healthy, sustainable culture that supports employee growth. If you have any questions or concerns about what this means for you, please connect with your manager. Thanks for all that you do!
