Pros

Intelligent employees, brand recognition helps in sales, fun environment and a great launching pad for a software career. Fun environment and definitely easier to appreciate for younger members of the work force.

Cons

Don't quite drink their own cool-aid as much as they say regarding marketing and sales processes. Training has become a bit outdated for their product and market. Clearly I'm really picking to find cons.

Thanks for your review and for helping companies grow with HubSpot on our sales team. We will definitely not lose our dedication to transparency (hopefully you feel the work we've put into Spotlights and company meetings of late) and will take your feedback on training into account as we grow and expand for next year--thank you for your input! -Katie

Pros

Great people to work with. Fantastic offices and amenities. Autonomy to work on projects I think will positively impact the company. Amazing parties and yearly conference. Top of the line tech. Truly believes in unlimited vacation (if one gets their work done). In the 2016 year, I took 20 days vacation with less than 2 years service. Given time to explore different solutions, trusted to find the best. Everyone is pleasant, which is a first for me after 10 years in Boston tech industry. C-level executives available to talk.

Cons

Not everyone is a good fit. People can join and leave quickly. Finding a support structure is very important for when time gets tough. HubSpot is a 'drink the kool-aid' company. The company skews very young, but is improving.

Love hearing that you enjoy your vacation (as you should) and that you feel the autonomy and the love we put into INBOUND and to the daily employee experience, so thanks for sharing your thoughts in this review, I deeply appreciate it. On the Kool-Aid front, I think the goal is always to balance folks who believe in our mission and believe in things that seem impossible or crazy to others, but I never want folks to feel like being excited about our culture means not speaking up about ways to make it better or improve, so my hope is that we can balance that enthusiasm with humility and improvement over time. Thank you for building a product our customers truly love, and for trusting us with the next step in your career after ten years in tech! -Katie
