Thanks for the feedback--happy to chat about this in person if you'd like to. Ultimately, the H in heart to me on humility is all about us recognizing we aren't perfect and continuing to improve, which I have no doubt we'll do--more information to follow on programming specific to this shortly.

Pros

The people here are some of the most genuine and hard-working I've ever met. The company lives up to it's motto of "Use Good Judgement" far better than Google's "Don't be evil". There are almost no secrets within the company, trust is huge here. The tech stack is great, red tape is minimal, cross-team collaboration is the norm.

Cons

Current location is a bit crowded because we're growing so quickly. The soda fountain doesn't have orange soda.

"Trust is huge here" is a great way of putting this, and while I'm not sure I can solve the orange soda dilemma permanently, it does seem like an Orange Soda celebration is in order soon--I'll see if we can put it on the list for the next company meeting for refreshments, thanks for the feedback! -Katie Burke

Pros

The company recently went public, so we're in a period of very high spirits and energy. HubSpot is definitely on a trajectory toward world domination in marketing automation. I have never encountered a HubSpotter that I really didn't like. We do a great job recruiting, hiring and maintaining a positive culture. (By that, I mean the type of person we hire and the way they behave in the work place is very constructive, transparent and hardworking.)

Cons

Like many people, I wake up from time to time questioning, "what do I want to do when I grow up?" So, I turn to our internal job board and scan open opportunities. If I don't find one that strikes my interest that day, I feel a little defeated. I don't think this is a pervasive issue, nor uncommon to other companies. It is clear that HubSpot is focused on a particular market segment and if you are working on the fringes of that segment, it can feel a little marginalizing to realize your mission is not the core HubSpot mission.

Thanks for the feedback, this is really helpful. With regard to growth, as you said, we made a few big investments the past few months and have more planned for the next six months, so I hope you'll see additional improvements on how we can continue to innovate here. In the interim, my best advice to you would be that often the best jobs at HubSpot aren't listed on the jobs board yet because they don't exist until employees advocate to create them for themselves based on a business case or need, so think of the board as a helpful starting point, but not an end game for what your options are internally. Happy to chat in person on this and incorporate your ideas in what we are rolling out over the next six months if you're interested in doing so! -KB
