Pros

- People are generally great, especially those who are "lifers" that believe in the old HubSpot culture of kindness, helping others; being that person also means you are sacrificing in another way - Product and Engineering roles/teams are stronger in terms of salary/total comp/perks - Decent benefits

Cons

- Work Life Balance is a thing of the past - Constant restructures, re-orgs, and fear of being laid off because leadership decides your role/department/team is not needed "for the business" - Updates of practices and policies before you can even get used to the previous one (EX, I've been here 4 years and never had the same Performance Review model) - No clear growth path or advancement for Individual Contributors - Toxic work environment for BIPOC, especially Black Women

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear this has been your experience. While remote work is designed to offer flexibility, the expectation is absolutely not that anyone should be working around the clock. We want our employees to be able to disconnect and recharge — it’s how we do our best work. Whether you’re remote or in-office, we have a ton of culture programs - we recently celebrated Bring Your Family To Work Day globally, Spirit Week, and we have Humans of HubSpot events happening globally in December. For remote employees, the @home quarterly meetup bonus continues to be a great way to connect in person and build community at HubSpot - visit the Wiki to learn more about our ample culture connection opportunities. Lastly, integrity is a non-negotiable part of how we work. We take any concerns about unethical behavior seriously and encourage anyone with specific concerns to raise them through our anonymous reporting channels or with HR so we can look into them directly. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thought, and thanks for all that you do.
