Pros

remote first, so you don't have to work in hcol places. if you live in lcol places, the salary is good.

Cons

- bad wld - very bad engineering culture - they count number of PRs, comments, reviews - bad managers - ton of silent PIPs/layoffs

Pros

Remote, culture as a product meant really great feedback and iteration cycles

Cons

Once Katie Burke left, culture took a nose dive. Not really culture as a product anymore, more like people are a replaceable commodity.

Pros

- High degree of flexibility (remote-first and family friendly) - Pay & benefits are fair/good - There are some really great, smart people

Cons

- High stress (I know too many people who have taken a LOA for mental health or even physical symptoms related to stress) - The AI focus often feels extreme and unnecessary (AI for the sake of AI) - Startups seem to be beating the product in a lot of places Overall feels like it's turning into a big, clunky, grinding machine instead of the nimble, collaborative innovator it once was.
