Pros

The office decor has been updated and is modern. Employee benefits are on par with other engineering firms. Seems to be plenty of work.

Cons

The design software is outdated. Software training is virtually non-existent. There seems to be a fear of using the latest version. Finally, certain management styles are intolerable. Bullying is bad form.

Pros

None, these people will make your work life so toxic.

Cons

These people are very cliquey and have a high school mentality. One among them is a sociopath. Despite being told I was going to be trained and taught a bunch of new things, they didn’t. Showing up became a chore. What is the point in believing you when you haven’t done what you said you were going to do? If you aren’t Christian, conservative, or into playing office politics this company isn’t for you. If you have a problem with your coworkers management will take the higher position’s side. Upper management even admitted they knew about hazing. They said that’s just simply how it is, basically take it until there is someone new. A lot of people on that team are so burned out and just want to take it out on people. There are a handful of them who are actually ok, every one else I would just avoid like the plague. I was told that I was put next to someone so they would be the one able to answer questions. I honestly believe they started off with the best intentions. But I think a series of miscommunications made it into the situation that it was, and then there is just so much distressed on either side that it was not salvageable. I spent my last few weeks going on interviews and I finally ended up somewhere. I am happy.

Not a design firm

Pros

This company is first and foremost, an engineering firm, and they are very good at that

Cons

They acquired an architecture, firm, called Morris architects, and have not been successful in incorporating architecture and through innovative design into the core business of engineering and architecture suffers because of that. That design work that the firm does is very mediocre and anyone with aspirations to do great design will be frustrated working for this firm.
