Pros

Good people in office to work with. Usually have plenty of work or trainings to do. Decent insurance benefits.

Cons

The pay for entry cad techs has not increased at all since 2017. I make 48k a year yet have 7 years of cad experience in an area where the average is 60k for the same position by competitors. I am absolutely terrified to ask for a raise because I know I will be fired. Corporate only seems to care if you are paid well, given work, and respected if you are a licensed engineer. The remote work policy is super confusing and seems to only be usable by upper management whenever they want. IT can't seem to communicate with other offices to keep software up to date in order to do projects and accreditations.

Huitt-Zollars strives to competitively and equitably compensate all their employees using industry salary benchmarking and other tools. All employee wages are audited and often adjusted up annually to ensure employees are appropriately compensated, including CADD Techs since 2017. HZ employees are not fired for asking for a raise. Toxic environment and lack of leadership. They are not what they try to portray.
