HR is overbearing

Pros

I had a lot of free time but that was my department. I know other engineers were often overwhelmed. Some of the new hires were working from home around 8pm when projects were behind.

Cons

HR only cares for the company. Raises are horrible and their excuse is that times are rough while the owners are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on classic cars.

I'm sorry to hear your experience was not positive. Hunter offers up to two days WFH to all of its Engineers to help support work/life balance. As with any role, situations that require longer than normal hours to complete a high-priority project may arise from time to time. Hunter consistently recognizes those who go above and beyond with spot bonuses and other incentives. Hunter has also consistently stayed ahead of the market with our year-over-year merit increases, starting salary, and double-digit profit sharing. We wish you the best of luck!

Pros

The US management is great and passionate about their jobs. Canada is a whole different story. Pizza, birthday and lunch days are a pro

Cons

The most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. I don't know about the US but the Canada office is like high-school. Management is so unprofessional, it's almost laughable. Management spend hours badmouthing employees with other employees of customer service. And they're surprised their numbers are not good. I felt so relieved when I quit. Oh and there's no RSP Work life balance is inexistent Unprofessionalism
