Pros

Flexible arrival times. They allowed a 15 minute window to arrive on time to work.

Cons

Management was condescending and didn't value employee input. Pay was very low. The only way to make a liveable wage is to work overtime, but that wasn't always available due to fluctuating oil prices. There's very little chance of promotion. Machinists were treated like second-class citizens. Night crew were treated as third-class citizens.

Pros

Good benefits for a family

Cons

Treats employees as disposable if the economy gets tough. Would rather downsize as a first measure than a last resort.
