I learned a lot about the O&G industry

Pros

I worked in the R&D lab and it was very hands on. I learned quite a lot about mechanical testing and the equipment needed to conduct those tests.

Cons

I wore many hats and often times there was not a clear idea of what I was responsible for. The vast majority of my time was spent in R&D rather than learning about what I would be doing as a future engineer there.

Pros

Very lenient for leaving work to take care of stuff at home.

Cons

The pay is below average compared to any shop that is similar around the area.
