Good place to be if you want to work for regional bank.

Pros

Solid training and company invests in their employees to learn and advance their skills. Family like atmosphere. Company also looks to invest in the local community. Employee benefits package was competitive. Company looks to promote from within. Ranked as one of the top 100 places to work in Southeast Michigan.

Cons

regional bank so relocation options are limited. Student tuition reimbursement must be paid off if you leave the company. Current credit crisis and poor acquisition in 2007 led to lay offs and expense cuts.

The reputation in the community, the care the associates have for the customers, the stability over time. Huntington has been in business since 1866 and still operates under the same name. Huntington associates care about each other and genuinely care about the customers. Huntington associates are very involved in the communities in which we serve, and we are well known for this reputation as a giving organization. We pride ourselves on our community involvement and our name.
