Pros
Extremely nice people, your coworkers will feel like family. Lots of resources such as transports, phlebotomists, PCAs (CNAs), PICC nurses, wound care nurses, etc. Cafeteria food is amazing, better than most other hospitals Best benefits you’ll ever get, amazing health insurance. Not much nursing autonomy, but it’s easy being a nurse if that’s what you want. Just have to call the doctor for everything and let them deal with it. (Both pro and con depending on your preference)
Cons
Non union Lower pay compared to other hospitals around the area Patient population quite entitled, management not very supportive of their nurses when it comes to conflicts. You’ll have to tailor to the patients and please them because they think it’s Huntington Hotel. Not much nursing autonomy, but it’s easy being a nurse if that’s what you want. Just have to call the doctor for everything and let them deal with it. (Both pro and con depending on your preference)
